Litigation Department

The Firm's Litigation Department handles claims and matters which are controverted (or expected to be controverted) or which need to be established through the presentation of evidence before the regular courts, quasi-judicial offices and agencies or arbitral bodies, both local and international.

The Litigation group lawyers have extensive experience and training in advocacy and litigation, duly qualified to handle and manage litigation cases (settlement negotiations and arbitration) and advocates trial work before the courts and other quasi-judicial bodies, all the way through the appeals process.

The Department has diverse and varied exposure in the areas of civil, criminal and commercial litigation, as well as special proceedings and cases before the inferior and appellate courts. As a matter of Firm policy, the Department is committed to fostering preventive litigation through the exhaustion of alternative modes of dispute resolution and the adoption of practices, which minimize, if not avoid, litigation.

The Litigation Department is headed by Reno R. Gonzales, Jr. Three of the Firm's partners, namely, Rio Sesinando E. Venturanza, and Hosanna T. Ayson They are assisted by associate lawyers Katherine C. Jambaro, Jonna O. Guiang and supported by an experienced and trained para-legal staff.
